Rose Parade 2011

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation will kick off a year’s worth of celebratory events and educational initiatives in honor of President Reagan’s 100^th birthday. The first-ever Presidential-themed float to enter the Annual Rose Parade on January 1^st will be dedicated to President Ronald Reagan.

Jelly Bean Diplomacy

President Ronald Reagan often passed around a crystal dish of Jelly Belly beans before White House meetings, and gave gifts of jars of Jelly Belly beans with the presidential seal to visiting dignitaries. It was his thoughtfulness that led the astronauts on the space shuttle Challenger in 1982 to discover a secret stash of Jelly Belly beans. He told us Licorice was his favorite flavor.
